Ahmed Hussein Deedat - a lion of a man

some of the few excerpts that really sticks to my mind from a frail old preacher (looks frail but an explosion of a spirit), Sheikh Ahmed Hussein Deedat, hailed from surat, india but resided in durban, south africa before he departed this world...

1. "... a magic can be performed by the yogi in india or even the simplest of magician but the real mukjizat (miracles) of a true prophet such as Muhammad pbuh is the likes of Al-Quran and Hadith. if miracles are counted by the blessing that they give to the world than with the dictates of Muhammad one billion over muslim's today doesn't imbibe in alcohol..."

2. "...the one that can say a spade is a spade, saying the truth and condemned a lie is a lion, i am an 83 year old man and i am a lion, who are you..."

the quotes are not exactly from what i've heard but this is what i can recall to mind, it may not be exact but it is somewhere around there...

in presentation - the flair of his language, his wit, charisma, elegance, flamboyance and

in knowledge - vast, in-depth, ideas that are simple and practical, well done analysis
